Effective Content Marketing for book publishers and events at the 15th Thessaloniki Book Fair
We are very excited to announce that EMMA will be part of the 15th Thessaloniki Book Fair. On Friday, 4th May, the visitors of the fair will get the chance to become familiar with the latest technologies that can help them to more efficiently manage their content and social media for communicating with their audience. The EMMA workshop, entitled "Effective Content Marketing for book publishers and events - A hands-on session to help you get started with EMMA", will be the first input of the session entitled "The digital transition of the book: an ongoing process", which starts at 10:00 in the morning.
Marifé Boix-Garcia of the Frankfurter Buchmesse will speak about the importance of communication and the possibilities of social media for the publishing industry. Vasileios Mezaris of CERTH, and a local of Thessaloniki, will present some highlights of the technical work that make EMMA unique. Finally, George Ioannidis of IN2 will demo the EMMA platform showing the audience how this new tool could be used in practice to solve a number of tasks that they would normally encounter (e.g. enrich a reading event with a social media wall, manage a hashtag campaign of a new title, understand the audience talking about an author, etc).
The session will continue with a presentation of Greek digital platform, entitled "New digital approaches of the book: digital projects – new digital models in the publishing industry". In the end a panel discussion will explore the digital challenges of the book.
